"Red Pennies and Berries" Handmade for You by Laura Hakes
"Red Pennies and Berries", Table Mat
I love Maggie Bonanomi designs...she is my favorite designer. She has a few large wool applique quilt patterns that I am a big fan of: Settler's Pride; Village Green; Wildflowers of Summer; and many more. Tavern House is another, and is one of my all time favorites. My problem...I haven't got the patience for a large project. How do I remedy that??? I choose my favorite blocks and make small projects from them: Pillows; Wall Hangings; Table Runners; or Bed Runners, just to name a few.
This is a Table Mat made from one of my favorite blocks in Maggie's Tavern House Wool Applique Quilt. I added a few additional flowers, a few embroidery stitches and plucked one of her Birds from the Tavern House Border.
This is a OOAK stitch. I will not be making any others. I used Maggie Bonanomi's Tavern House pattern to make this Table Mat. It measures 18.5" wide by 17" long. I used Blackberry Primitives hand-dyed wool for the project. It is backed using mill-dyed wool.
There is only one, but it is advertised on two web sites. Whoever orders first, gets the sale!
