One of a Kind Offering!
Designed and Handmade for You, by me, Laura Hakes! This beautiful Needle keep is made from my hand-dyed Sapphire Blue velvet and an antique (1800's), quilt remnant. The stitching on the quilt remnant is still in tact, and is some of the smallest quilting I have seen, which speaks well to the quilters talents.
The front portion is trimmed with our hand-dyed poms, and the opening is our hand-dyed velvet ribbon. A thin cardboard piece is sewn between the back hand-dyed velvet pieces of fabric (shown with needles), to help deter the needles from going through the fabric and sticking you (be careful!). The front is adorned with an antique mother of pearl button and a small remnant of antique lace. Measures approximately 3" w x 3" h.
