A Story in Indigo 1841
by Maggie Bonanomi
Approx. 58″ x 58″

A striking new bed cover inspired by early American textiles, A Story in Indigo captures the quiet beauty of indigo and cream in a timeless composition. The model is set on hand-dyed linen in a rich Dark Indigo, this piece features a thoughtful blend of wool, linen, and cotton fabrics, creating depth and texture throughout.  You may also choose the kit option to have an indigo blue wool background, opposed to the dark indigo linen.

Delicate vines, stars, and symbolic motifs are artfully arranged across the field, anchored by a central urn and framed with classic appliqué elements. The palette is both bold and soothing—true primitive blues paired with soft, aged neutrals—making it a statement piece that feels rooted in history.

Whether displayed as a bed cover or a wall piece, it brings warmth, story, and craftsmanship into any space.
