"A Quail in the Bush", Pincushion or Shelf Sitter

Measures 8" wide by 7.5" tall, including tail and crown. This little Quail sits upon a heart shaped pincushion, made from our hand-dyed Velvet. Her wings and chest gusset are made from antique cotton fabric from the 1800's. Her tail is hand-crocheted lace from the 1800's, as is her neck lace and head dress. Buttons are antique mother-of-pearl. She holds an acorn in her beak, made with an authentic acorn cap and wool.
She is completely hand stitched, made of hand-dyed linen, stuffed with wool clippings. The old fashioned pincushion is filled with crushed walnut shells, which are a natural sharpener for your pins, should you decide to use her for a pincushion. She also makes a beautiful decorative piece for your home.
She is a wonderful stately little Quail, indeed.
